By now you’ve probably heard a bit about Groovy and Grails. Come find out what the hype is all about! This presentation will provide an overview of Groovy and Grails and will be complemented by code demonstrations.

SPEAKER BIO:
Sonny To has been in the IT industry for more than 10 years and started programming computers during childhood. He started out his career as a Unix System administrator (HPUX, Solaris, Linux, FreeBSD) and now is a freelance software engineer focusing manly on Java and related technologies. In his free time, Sonny has authored some open source projects housed on GoogleCode. He has also taught Java, C#, and Python at Learning Tree International, Learn Quest, and The Chubb Institute. He has been using Java since 1995 and Groovy/Grails since 2007. He’s a graduate from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
